Mobile Wallet Guide

This guide is a step-by-step walkthrough on how to set up a Galactrum Mobile Wallet on Android or iOS (Coming soon).

Download Mobile Wallet

The Mobile wallet can be simply be downloaded at Google Playstore.

Initial Setup

After installing the Galactrum Mobile Wallet. You will be presented with a screen like this one.

It is highly recommended to use a secure unique pin to protect your wallet from any unauthorized spending.

Important Tips:

  • Don’t use any personal numbers (Telephone, Birthdays, Important dates).
  • Using the Advanced option will allow you to use special characters (Ex. !@#$%) to make your spending pin even stronger.
  • A strong spending pin should be at least 8 characters long.
  • Use numbers, letters and special characters to create something that is easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess.
  • Write your pin number down offline in a secure place you won’t forget. Once lost, the wallet cannot be recovered. By encrypting your wallet, you encrypt your private keys.

Getting to Know Your Wallet

After the Initial Setup, your wallet will begin downloading the previous blocks. It’s highly recommended that you have your phone connected to power and utilizing Wi-Fi at this time as it’s both a data and power intensive process.

Your Home Screen will always show your recent transactions, your ORE balance, QR Scanner, and Send/Receive functions. If you ever need to get back to the home screen, either click on the Menu button in the upper left hand corner, or hold down on the left side of your screen and drag towards the right. Either way will bring you back to the menu screen to hit Home.

Along with the topics listed below, the bottom of the Menu will also show your wallets version, time since the last found block, current number of blocks, and number of peers you’re connected to.
